The biggest event for Boston Bitcoin enthusiasts will be the 8th annual MIT Bitcoin Expo, presented by the MIT Bitcoin Club. This year the event is virtual and completely free! Scheduled for April 3 and 4, registered attendees will receive access to the Expo discord server, a Proof of Attendance token drop, a live Q&A board, and more! This year’s theme is The New Normal in acknowledgment of Bitcoin and blockchain moving into mainstream adoption over the past year.
We’d also like to give a shout-out to Esprezzo, a Boston-based decentralized finance (DeFi) startup building data automation tools. The three-year-old startup just completed a seed round in which they raised $2 million from Mark Cuban, Arrington Capital, and CMS Holdings, among others. Cuban said he invested because “everything is driven by fast and accurate access to data. Which is exactly what Esprezzo excels at. Their product is ‘fungibility at its best. It’s adaptable. It’s straightforward. It’s easy to configure and use.”
