Boston Blockchain Events Week of March 30, 2020

In order to reduce the spread of coronavirus in our community and do our part to flatten the curve, the Boston Blockchain Association is planning a VIRTUAL MEETUP titled How Blockchain People & Projects are Helping with Coronavirus, on April 2. Join us and hear from six amazing blockchain speakers, including the BBA’s own Sir John Hargrave.

If you can’t join us for the virtual meetup we do understand. But please don’t forget to follow the CDC recommendations to protect from coronavirus infection:

  • Clean your hands often
  • Avoid contact with others
  • Stay home if you’re sick
  • Clean and disinfect frequently used surfaces

We all have a part to play in stopping the spread of COVID-19 and getting our society back to normal as quickly as possible.

If you aren’t already, please help support technology and blockchain development in Boston by becoming a member of the Boston Blockchain Association. All you have to do is apply to become a member (takes just a minute of your time) to be sure you’ll stay informed on all Boston area blockchain events.

It is a quiet week in the blockchain community, which is understandable given the circumstances. Stay with us though as we should have much more to report in coming weeks as many organizations are converting physical meetups to virtual meetups.

With that in mind, here are the planned events in Boston’s blockchain community for the coming week:

VIRTUAL MEET-UP: How Blockchain People & Projects are Helping with Coronavirus

Thursday, April 2, 2020 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Understanding and reacting to the DEEP impacts of #Covid19 on our world, and by leveraging the recent Coindesk article on Blockchain and Coronavirus, the Boston Blockchain Association leadership team decided to move quickly and host a VIRTUAL MEETUP.

Using Crowdcast, this event will feature a series of 5-Minute talks on how the US Blockchain community is engaging in #Covid19. We are truly grateful that 6 extraordinary people have agreed to speak, on short notice, and in the midst of a heavy workload made all the more so with their #Coronavirus work.

This will be a highly interactive session featuring attendee interaction with the speakers.

Tell the community that you are attending the event with an indication on the Meetup page.

Note the separate REGISTRATION for the Crowdcast session using the embedded link on the Meetup page.
