Maybe you can benefit from the meetup to discuss how to find the right co-founder for your project. Or maybe you need to brush up on your data science knowledge and skills. Either way you’ll have something to do right here in Boston this week that will take your next blockchain-based steps.

Data Science from Scratch: how to approach building in a new space

Data Science from Scratch: how to approach building in a new spaceWednesday, January 15, 2020 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

This talk will focus on the idea of “making it up as you go along” and what it means to actually have to do that. The blockchain data field is both extremely new, and extremely daunting, with little directly applicable best practices or past research to guide us. We will delve into the reality of building everything ourselves before we got to think about what me might call proper models. How did we navigate toward our goal of producing meaningful analysis when confronted with messy, large, confusing, and unfamiliar data sources with no ground truth? Location: 470 Atlantic Ave, Boston, MA. How to find the meetup: A 5 minute walk from South Station at the corner of Atlantic Ave and Seaport Blvd. First floor meeting room with entrance on the back side of the building along the water. Bring an ID to check in. Seats are Limited.
